We are excited that you are excited! We are in the process of testing a pop-up pickup model with online orders in an effort to reach every community.  Current delivery challenges nationwide due to COVID-19 have caused us to pivot and creatively think about how best to get our products to you quickly and safely! All Thanksgiving box orders placed online will be available for pick-up Mon. Nov 23rd - Wed. Nov 25th at The Veg Hub Restaurant in Oakland, CA. Unfortunately due to current COVID-19 restrictions and safety guidelines, our November 22nd Thanksgiving Celebration has been cancelled. We appreciate your understanding. Our Better Chew Thanksgiving boxes are still available for purchase online. Not a California resident? No problem! How does Pick-up work?

When ordering your Better Chew Box online, select your pick-up location from the available options during checkout.
Be sure to provide your accurate email and phone number so that we can keep you informed of our progress with your order.
You will receive reminder notifications when your order is ready for pick-up.
On the day of pick-up, we kindly ask that you wear a mask to help keep everyone safe during this COVID-19 pandemic. Please have your order confirmation ready. A member of the Better Chew team will greet you and bring your order to you.

Can I purchase a Better Chew box at pick-up?

Unfortunately, not at the moment.  We recommend ordering online through our website.

What is the Better Chew Serving Size?

Our standard is 2 - 3 oz per person for all of our product offerings.

Are your products vegan?

Yes, all of our products are plant-based! Any reference to animal protein is for context only.

What is the Better Chew Thanksgiving Box?

In alignment with our mission to Democratize the Access to Healthy Foods for ALL Communities, we have created the Better Chew Box service which allows us to bring our favorite Better Chew proteins to your community via online purchase and local pick-up. This Thanksgiving Holiday we are exclusively selling our seasonal Better Chew Thanksgiving Box!!! The best part is, the box includes an entire Thanksgiving meal that serves approximately 8 - 10 people. Enjoy Plant-based selections like our Better Chew Smoked Turkey, Better Chew Fried Chicken, Sweet Candied Yams, Three Cheeze Mac and Cheeze, and our Country BoyGreens. Can’t forget the Gravy! We have you covered!! Each box is packaged with care to ensure products stay at a safe temperature.

Can I buy a Better Chew Box at the grocery store?

Currently, a limited selection of our products are available for purchase at Whole Foods Market locations in the Northern California region, Vegas, and Lake Tahoe. We are also available at some community grocery stores nationwide. If you are in the Oakland, CA area, visit The Veg Hub, a vegan restaurant and home to our Better Chew proteins, to experience house made recipes featuring many of our products!

PLACING & EDITING ORDERS

Can I reschedule my pick-up?

Yes, as long as your pick-up reschedule request falls within the allotted dates and times of Mon., Nov 23 - Wed., Nov 25th, 11:30AM - 7:00PM PST each day. Please email us at orders@eatbetterchew.com

Can I customize my Better Chew Box?

Not at the moment, but this option is available from time to time. Please stay connected with us by subscribing to our email list and following us on Instagram and Facebook @BetterChew to stay updated on our product offerings.

Can I change/update my order once it has been placed?

You can not change your order once it has been placed. We ask that you please read all of the detailed information before confirming your purchase.

Can I cancel my order?

The option to cancel your order once it has been placed is not available at this time. We are working to make this option available in the future.

Can I return/exchange my purchase?

Following food safety guidelines, we do not accept returns or exchanges of any kind.

How much does delivery cost?

Currently, there is no delivery cost added to your order. We have you covered!Delivery costs are on us!

How do you keep food fresh in transit?

We package your Better Chew proteins with care using an insulated box containing dry ice to keep them frozen.

What happens if I’m not available to pick-up my order?

Currently, we do not offer the option to reschedule your pick-up. Please choose a pick-up option that best fits your schedule. You are welcome to send someone on your behalf to pick-up your order. They will need to have your name, order confirmation, and phone number handy for verification.

How do I dispose of the box and packing materials?

We're committed to tackling packaging waste, while ensuring that our ingredients reach our customers in the safest and highest quality conditions. We use packaging that is recyclable or reusable and also keeps the food at a safe temperature during the entire journey from our facility to our customers’ home. Here are some tips for recycling your Better Chew packaging:
- Box - All of Better Chew boxes are made from recycled cardboard and are curbside recyclable.
- Produce Bags - The bags containing the Better Chew proteins can be recycled at all locations that accept plastic bags

When will Better Chew Box Deliver directly to my doorstep?

We will begin exploring offering direct delivery as soon as shipping time frames can be guaranteed again by delivery service vendors. We want to ensure that your order arrives within a reasonable time frame that keeps the product at a safe temperature. Stay updated by following us @BetterChew on Instagram and Facebook.

Where can I find the list of ingredients for your products?

Better Chew Smoked Turkey Ingredients: Non-GMO Soybeans, Water, Calcium Sulfate, Canola Oil, Nutritional Yeast Flakes, Sea Salt, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, and Spices

Better Chew Fried Chicken Ingredients: Non-GMO Soybeans, Water, Calcium Sulfate, Brown Rice, Wheat Gluten, Garbanzo Beans, Canola Oil, Nutritional Yeast Flakes, Sea Salt, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, and Spices

How should I properly store Better Chew protein?

Our Better Chew Smoked Turkey, Fried Chicken, Candied Yams, and Greens can be stored frozen or refrigerated. The Mac n' Cheeze and Gravy should be kept refrigerated. Thaw prior to cooking for best results.

What is the shelf life of each Better Chew protein?

Our Better Chew proteins can last in the freezer up to 6 months as will be reflected with the expiration date listed on each bag. Better Chew proteins should be used within 5 days of being thawed.

Can Better Chew Proteins be eaten without heating/cooking?

All Better Chew Proteins and Dinner sides should be either heated or cooked prior to consumption according to the instructions provided in your box and on our website under "Cooking Instructions."

Do you offer low-sodium or sodium free options to your products?

We are working on it! A low-sodium option to our products will be made available for purchase soon.

How do I cook your proteins?

Cooking instructions and a few recipe suggestions can be found on our website by clicking the "Cooking Instructions" tab located on our website header and in the site menu options.
